Learn about 5 ways you can create power when you speak on the March 23, 2016 episode of The Wednesday Call with Andy Albright.
Albright hosted The Wednesday Call live from AMP Studios at National Agents Alliance headquarters with this question in mind: Do you truly THINK before speaking or asking questions when you deal with people on daily basis?
You might not realize it, but you carry great power when you speak to others. Andy wants to share five ways to create power when you speak to people. The Alliance knows it to be true.
You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.”
The truth is that words do hurt people. They hurt people a lot. You can choose to use your words in a good way and it will change lives.
Trust and Truth: When people believe and trust, they will take action faster. People give mental and verbal assessment to what they are told. They are trying to figure things out in their head. When people come and discover it for themselves, they hold it with conviction.
Heart: Is what you are saying to a person positive? Will your words make things better or worse? Be helpful when you talk to people. It will help make things better. You can help correct a person, but you can do it in a positive way. Are you motivating people to do better? Encouragement is exactly what people want to hear.
Inspirational: Are you inspiring people to perform at a higher level? Are you promoting things in the right way? Encourage people to be part of the team with you.
Needed: Is the conversation needed? Are you speaking intentionally? Too often people spend their words talking about topics that do not matter. Make sure you are speaking and listening in an effort to learn more about the person and how you can be of value to them.
Kindness: Are you acting out of love? Are you compassionate? Are you treating people the way you want to be treated? Word hard to control your tongue and use your words in a good manner.
Please remember to THINK before you speak. When you talk you can be a powerful force if you are deliberate about what you say to people. What you say can be exactly what a person needs to hear to change their lives for the better.
