Get your notepad and pen ready because this episode of The Wednesday Call will be filled with laughter and learning with your special guest host Stephen Davies.

Davies stood in for Andy Albright on this week’s The Wednesday Call podcast while Andy was on a safari trip with his son in Africa. Davies, who lives in Asheville, N.C., is a regular guest host for the show and he never disappoints with his unique brand of humor, wit and insight.

The Alliance wants people to enjoy the freedom of being able to make choices because you are at a point financially where you get to choose what you do and where you go every single day. Davies encouraged members of The Alliance to build a big business so that you can slide away for a trip with family whenever you want to. He just did that with his family last week, when they went to Mexico for an end-of-summer vacation with his wife and two children.

Money is easy to make, but memories are not as easy. If you work hard, recruit people to help you and be nice to people, then you can make the income it takes to go and do whatever you want.

What gets people stuck in the mud of life? Why do some people give up and live another 40 years just going through the motions. Why do they give up on their dreams and goals when they have so much left to do?

Davies told the listeners that there are three main things that get people frozen in life.

Don’t take things personal. When you “personalize it,” nothing good can come out of it. When you take something personally, you get down on yourself and think bad thoughts. Most of the time what you are dealing with has nothing to do with you, so why would you make it personal? If something negative is going on, don’t take it personal. It is not about you. We can always get better at different things, but the bad stuff isn’t about you and it isn’t personal.

Don’t make things pervasive. There are nights when you don’t close with a client that you should, but that mean there is some infinite flaw with you. Eliminate saying things like always, never and all. Don’t let one experience define your life.

Along those lines, don’t let anything be permanent. When you have a bad experience, make it a point to correct and improve instead of saying, “well, that’s how it will be from now on.” No!

When you let things be personal, pervasive and permanent then you are in trouble. It’s hard to get out of that funk because you have headed down a slippery slope. Life might seem foggy. You might be in a funk. Here’s the good news: YOU can get out of it with enthusiasm and effort. You are the reason you are in the bad spot and you can fix it as easily as you ended up in the hole you think you are in.

Here’s who you fix things.

You are in control. When you know that, life is easier. You can control your attitude, your activity, your outlook, your smile, the people you spend time with, etc. Make a list and get serious about changing what you are doing to make things better. The faster or sooner you can do this the sooner things will get better.

Controlling your actions is critical to changing your situation. Get specific about exactly what you can change and control so that you get better. The best way to get out of a mud puddle is to start moving. Figure out what direction you need to go in and start taking steps. You can control everything you do. Reading the right material, listening to audios and talking to the right people are all things you can control. Be very specific about it and take action!

Learn to celebrate even the smallest victories to build the momentum to make giant changes down the road. It starts with small things and it all adds up. Don’t make the mistake of watching the scoreboard all the time. Do be aware of the activity and level of your actions. Don’t let numbers affect you in a negative way.

The next step in getting out of a mud puddle is making a list of thoughts you will never think again. Make a list on paper and commit to it. Set a time limit to do this, but get it all down on paper. Once you have your list, you are going to work to debunk the entire list one item at a time. You are capable of so much more than you realize. It will blow your mind. Commit to never thinking the thoughts on your list.

People performing at a high level are thinking differently than those who are less successful. When you are thinking the right thoughts, you are going to perform better.

The fourth thing to focus on is your vocabulary and having definiteness to what you are saying. Do you need to change your talk? Use words like I am, I will, I do, etc. Hope is not a strategy. Hope talk doesn’t get you out of a mud puddle.

Are you around the right people? You have to build relationships and be part of a community that is positive. Get to know people before you need them. Create something special that impacts you in positive ways. Serve others and you will be rewarded.

The next thing you need to focus on is reflection. Make a victory log that you can refer to when you need a positive reinforcement to help you stay on track. These wins can be small, medium or huge. It all matters. Keep building your victory log over time. No victory is too small to celebrate.

When you are helping serve others then you are not likely to be thinking about the bad stuff. Focusing on serving and helping others is huge. The more you can do that the better off you will be even if you can’t see it at the time.

When you are serving others, you are going to create results. It will help fill your confidence bucket up. Your whole outlook on everything will be drastically improved.  Don’t just serve others when it is convenient. Do it all the time because it is the right thing to do. Serving others is a choice and it will give you more energy and enthusiasm in all that you do.

You will have more gratitude when you help others. You will gain new perspectives that will broaden your view of life and the world around you. Serving others will also give you more experiences and help you better understand situations and opportunities that you might have missed otherwise.

We are all going to deal with challenges and struggles, but if you can keep your mind right then you will be able to navigate the mud puddles in life faster and easier than if you get bogged down by what you are facing.

Welcome to another jam-packed episode of Andy Albright's The Wednesday Call, a podcast that delivers 90 minutes of info you can use to grow and improve in your life and business. Settle in with a notepad and pen to take notes as we deliver Episode 25 of this podcast!

Chadwick Ray and Adam Katz stepped in to guest host this week’s The Wednesday Call podcast from AMP Studios in Burlington, N.C. at The Alliance’s corporate headquarters, while Andy Albright was traveling outside of the United States.

Chadwick and Adam opened the pod by talking about The Alliance Playbook and how it shapes and determines what they do with their teams and business. The Playbook is a guide that explains what The Alliance believes in and values.

The Alliance believes in Prosperity, Inspiration and Eternity.

Inspiration was a big topic during the show and Chadwick and Adam explained how they have been inspired by The Alliance and how they continue finding new inspiration based on where they are now compared to where they were when they started with the company. Their dreams and goals have grown and changed, but the constant has been the inspiration provided by members of The Alliance.

Next, the guest duo covered what “eternity” means in The Alliance. Adam and Chadwick talked about the importance of leaving a legacy for others to follow and being honest and open about what we think “eternity” means long after we leave this Earth. Eternity is part of the “P.I.E.” that The Alliance includes in the playbook. We are more focused on the mission than the commission because we know that if your heart is in the right place, the commissions will come.

Relationships are a huge part of being a member of The Alliance. Without relationships, what is the point? We want to be around people who like people. We want to be around people who like helping people. It is a big family.

Chadwick and Adam shared personal stories of taking trips with The Alliance and how it changed the way they viewed the world. Both men said they have grown tremendously since joining The Alliance, and believe they owe it to Andy and Jane Albright to keep growing and help other people succeed in business. The stories and experiences are part of building strong relationships with people before they ever needed them as friends. Eventually, the people in your life will be there to help you when you need it most. The key is to get to know people and establish a relationship before you need something from a person.

The Alliance has 8 Core Values and Adam and Chadwick discussed each of those values and explained a little bit about what they mean to them and to our company. Excellence, Service, Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Compassion, Community and Gratitude are the 8 values of The Alliance. If you haven’t seen The Alliance playbook, make sure to ask your upline or agency manager to go over it with you.

The values of The Alliance are all equally important. We believe that it is important to follow all of them and take them seriously. We understand that nobody is perfect and mistakes will happen, but we strive to operate by our values every single day.

#LeadCon16 at The Alliance's headquarters in Burlington, N.C. was "off the chain, crazy good!" If you were there, you know that already! If you weren't, that's OK.

Andy Albright wanted to talk to those who were and were not at #LeadCon16 during this episode of The Wednesday Call titled, "What do I do now?"

Coming out of LeadCon, Andy wanted to fan the flames and keep you excited and energized to finish the MISSION we are in 2016 in a big way. Get “cray, cray” and win a trip to the Mediterranean while you are making money too! Check out the trip details by visiting www.AllianceEventures.com. Make sure you are on track to win this trip The Alliance is taking in 2017.

How often do you do things? How often do you read, listen to audio, call people, text people, etc.? The answer is simple: as often as needed! Don’t do it too much, but don’t think about it too much. Do it as often as needed … don’t wait until it is too late!

We all need a connection that fuels, that builds self-control, that builds ownership and responsibility, that makes learning and failure safe and that empowers small, "get better steps!"

When Andy was growing up, he dreamed of figuring out how to live like people he saw on television traveling the world, driving nice cars and living in a big house. Perhaps even more important, he wanted to have the freedom to decide what he was going to do with his time. All he wanted was a shot at that.

After graduating from North Carolina State University, he realized that maybe his dream wasn’t reasonable in the textile industry. He was looking for a way to change that likelihood and he found it through insurance and The Alliance. It didn’t happen overnight, but he tried all kinds of jobs and businesses before he found the answer. Andy kept asking questions of people who were more successful than he was and he learned how to listen and hear what those people were telling him. Andy learned that you had to work hard and give up “stuff” to live the life he wanted. That meant skipping TV shows, ball games, cookouts, etc.

If America had more people that thought about “WE the people” and less that thought about what makes us different than we would be more “UNITED.” There is more power in being united than there is in being divisive. When a group of people gets tight and united, there isn’t a whole lot they can’t accomplish. Patient people that welcome other people to join our team are critical to The Alliance being successful. We have plenty of room for more people to join us. Our job is to find people that want a shot. Our doors are open to people from all walks of life. We are going to be nice to everybody.

At every level in every profession, people make decisions. They also get to decide what they do with their time when they get home in the evening. Some people take it easy and watch TV. Others roll up their sleeves and keep working on their dream. People that move consistently make more things happen. People that chase something with 100 percent effort are more likely to reach their goals than a person that isn’t committed to it with maximum effort.

Andy Albright was back in Burlington, N.C. to host The Wednesday Call live from AMP Studios at The Alliance headquarters.

In life, when you send a bucket down a well what comes back up is what is in the bottom of the well. Is your bucket coming up full of water or is it empty? Your heart and your head are what you put in the well. Your head and heart are impacted by what you listen to, what you read and who you are hanging around.

What are you putting in your heart? Are you being positive? When you are joking in a negative way you are actually being negative. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t mean it and you were being sarcastic. It isn’t helpful. You cannot engage in that behavior and still think you are being positive.

Here’s the great news: you can change what you put in your well. You can do it every single day. You can change what goes in and what comes up. Maybe you are tired. Maybe you are not focused. Maybe you had too much to drink. Work hard to bite your tongue and keep negative thoughts and comments away!

A speck of sand in your eye is not a good thing. However, a speck of sand in an oyster can create a beautiful pearl. How can it be that the same speck can be so bad and so great at the same time? It happens. The Alliance has some sand too. We are not perfect. The way you handle an irritant can determine where you end up in life.

When you are dealt a grain of sand will you let it be an irritant or will you let it develop like a pearl in an oyster? It sounds simple, but that’s the trick to being positive.

Do you listen to people and try to apply what they are going through to what you are going through? You can’t do that. You don’t know the whole story and you can’t know it because it is them and not you. Remain calm. You have to say how can we fix a problem? What can I do? Who can I ask? How can I help?

Don’t try to change people if they don’t want to change. Don’t get caught up in trying to keep score when it comes to problems. We all have them and we all have them at different levels. Focus on making the sand in your life a pearl.

How about this: when sun bakes down on clay it can make a pot, but if it were hitting butter it could melt it. What is your makeup? Are you clay or butter? Are you allowing the sun to melt you down to nothing or help sculpt you into a great masterpiece? How are you going to handle the heat? When the pressure is on your response is your responsibility. You can’t take it lightly. It is a great responsibility. How you react is completely up to you. It is your choice. Do everything you possibly can to act out of love … always … no matter what. That is very hard to practice 100 percent of the time, but you have to keep trying.

Don’t let people head fake you and let you think everything is perfect because it is not. They will never tell you everything. We all have hidden stuff that we don’t share with the world. People, by nature, don’t want to share their personal stuff when it is not good. They might confide in a select few, but to the general public they don’t want to air their dirty laundry.

Don’t fall into the trap where you think somebody is perfect or lives the perfect life. That’s the kind of life you see in movies, but it is not reality. The outer shell of a turtle is there to protect the soft makeup of the turtle. Don’t let the shell confuse you when you are dealing with people.

Judge people by results and not what they say or would have you believe. When a person is about the money and not the mission, then you’ve lost. When what you do is about the mission then you get great results. People need love and encouragement. A small gesture could be exactly what a person needs to push them to greatness.

When you decide to be positive and bloom where you are planted, your life will change. When you make your mind up about what you are going to do then you have figured it out. The Alliance believes we need more eyeballs and not more “new” ideas. We want to help more people and make a bigger difference.

Our HotSpots are a well full of water. We have clean air to breathe in these meetings. It’s an environment where you are free to grow. We create a good, fun, safe, fertile environment where you are required to be positive and are allowed to have all the water you want for your well.

Stephen Davies stepped in to guest host this episode of The Wednesday Call Podcast live from AMP Studios at The Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C. while Andy Albright was traveling this week.

Davies, who lives in Asheville, N.C. with his wife, Hollie and their two children, wanted to share how he went from a struggling 20-year-old to a millionaire in 36 months. He called it the 7 Commonalities of becoming successful with The Alliance.

7 Commonalities of becoming successful with The Alliance

Make Peace with Change. Don’t be afraid to do things that other people don’t if it will make you better. If you aren’t willing to change, then you are going to stay exactly where you are right now. You can grow if you don’t make changes. You can choose what sacrifices you are willing to make. Be intentional about it. Make peace with it and life will be easier. Be a change agent and not a victim. Make your mind up that you are not going to be a “NOT victim.” Be the reason things get better for you. You will be more grateful and less frustrated when you do this. Are you afraid to grow because you are in safety mode? You can’t have both.

Open Mind and Open Heart. When you are certain about everything then you probably won’t ever reach your full potential. Don’t be a “know it all.” If you are never open to information and ideas then you are going to be wrong quite often. “Certainty” addiction holds people back. Davies says you should probably only be clear about half a dozen things in life. Don’t operate with a closed mind … that’s when your mind starts to die. Higher level people want more wisdom. They can never know enough. Make it a point to seek out growth opportunities in your life. It doesn’t have to be every single day, but make sure you schedule changes to continue growing. Don’t engage in urgency and offended addictions

A Growing Why. A met need no longer motivates you in life. When you keep growing then you stay motivated. People that don’t keep growing are satisfied. They have stopped striving for more because their needs are being met. If your “WHY” is big enough it can swallow any disappointment that exists. That is not to say the disappointment won’t still hurt, but you will keep working toward your “WHY.” Put yourself in uncomfortable situations so you keep striving for more. If you are the “king” of your hill then go find another hill to start climbing. When you see what is possible, you will want to do more. Stretch yourself to be great. A giant why keeps discouragement at bay. Don’t have a lottery mentality when you should have an abundance mentality. Focus on being and not just having.

Deep Listening. The most successful people are great listeners. This means listen to others, but listen to yourself by talking to yourself. You probably know a lot of what you need to do to improve, but you have to start doing it by letting that voice in your head move you in the right direction. What are you ignoring? What are you not changing that you should?

Congruence. What do you say what? What do you allow yourself to think? What do you do? Does it overlap? It should. Ideally, the three areas will almost be on top of each other in a stack. The more those things overlap the better off life will be. When you can do that you will operate at high speed and low drag.

5 Questions for quick clarity

Have I defined what is most important?

What do I do now to make sure I am centered on what I say is most important?

What do I do to keep myself from being pulled into something that is not important?

How do I keep what is most important in front of me all the time?

How do I create a river of information that helps me keep the important things in front of me?

Those five things will help you create clarity and move faster. The more congruent you get, the more people you can help.

Possibility and Solution Thinkers. Are you thinking about how you react to problems? We all get to play the “problem” game. It is a fact of life. How we respond is the measure of where we go in life. We can rank our problems on a scale of 1 to 10. We can also rank our thinking from 1 to 10. If can think at a higher level than your problems, then you will be fine. You are the sum total of your influences. Your influences are all around you even if you don’t realize it. Make it a habit to read the right books, associate with the right people and consume the right kind of media. Don’t be afraid to seek wisdom from people who are more successful than you are.

Have a Genuine Desire to Elevate. Are you helping others and yourself from a sincere standpoint? Do you love people? Do you work to eliminate complaining? Do you focus on building up people? Are you working to improve your perspective? You have to consistently work on this if you want to make a difference. Make it a point to limit how selfish you are. Everybody loves hearing their name, but sometimes you need to focus on other people. Work on being purpose driven instead of ego driven. Watch your vocabulary and listen to how many times you say the words “I” or “me.” You will slip up on this, but you have to keep coming back to a place where you elevate other people. Help people elevate what is “normal” to them.

When you help people get to a different level in life, you are showing you have a genuine desire to help people.

Start working on these seven ways to get better. You don’t have to do them all at once, but start working on using them to help you get better. Make a simple change or six, but start now.

On this week's The Wednesday Call Podcast, Adam Katz and Kyle Keator guest hosted from AMP Studios at The Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C. while Andy Albright was out of the country attending a business meeting.

The Alliance was in Banff, Canada last week where a select group of agents enjoyed an all-expenses paid trip for their efforts in 2015. Keator interviewed agents in the audience who were on the Banff trip. They shared stories and memories from the trip and encouraged people to do whatever it takes to win the Mediterranean Cruise in 2017.

Katz covered how you can qualify for the Mediterranean Cruise by taking advantage of all the bonus points that are being offered by The Alliance and its carrier partners. For full details, visit the contest page at www.NAALeads.com. Make sure you know where you stand so that you know what you need to do for the next six months to win this cruise. Also, make sure you share the qualifications with your team and encourage them to know exactly where they stand. This cruise will take you to five different countries for an all-expenses paid adventure.

Keator, who just moved to Greensboro, N.C. from Ohio, shared his history with The Alliance and how he found this opportunity.

Katz explained how he went from being a not-so-happy school teacher to finding The Alliance and spending the last 20 years traveling the world with Andy and Jane Albright.

Keator and Katz showed an example of how investing in leads and working your warm-market contacts can help you create more cash flow. Katz cautioned people about being smart after you get your first commission check, and using it to help you keep the positive momentum going for the long haul. That first check can be the seed that helps you secure more resources to help you maximize your earning potential to continue earning commission checks. The No. 1 rule of business is to stay in business.

A big part of being successful involves planning ahead and being prepared every single day. When you schedule your day, make sure that you are spending your time on important tasks. We all have 24 hours and time is our most valuable asset. You have to fill your time up intentionally and make sure you are not wasting time. Andy has a great blog that covers the GS3 concept that will help you work on this and help your team do the same.

GS3 Blogs from www.AndyAlbright.com

Part1: http://bit.ly/293V0Ek

Part 2: http://bit.ly/293dhVP

Part 3: http://bit.ly/1R3tAwH

Keator stressed that when you schedule something you have to follow through and do it! “Do the Do” and follow through! You are going to make mistakes. The key is to learn from those mistakes and keep moving forward.

Katz wrapped up the show by telling people to keep finding people who are ready, willing and able. It also helps if the people you are looking for are faithful, available and teachable. The Alliance is looking for people who have a bigger dream for what their life should be. Look for those qualities in the people you talk to and ask them if they want to join our team? There is plenty of room for those who are committed to being successful with The Alliance.

Patrick Connors guest hosted this week's The Wednesday Call Podcast while Andy Albright was in Banff, Canada with members of The Alliance.

Connors brings wit, humor and knowledge on this "crazy, cool" episode. Get your popcorn, a soda, and get ready to take notes that will help you grow and go make it happen in your career.

Are you ready? It's time for TWC with The Alliance's Patrick Connors!!!

Connors, who lives in Mason, Ohio, shared some of his story, how he did it and does it on a regular basis now with The Alliance. He has a large family and runs a large business. Everything you “do” is important and that’s why you have to decide exactly what you are going to do. You have to identify what things need to be done and what can wait.

Connors opened the TWC by encouraging people to check out previous episodes of the show on The Wednesday Call Podcast with Andy Albright. Connors said his favorite episodes were EP03, EP07, EP11 and EP14. Be sure to check out those episodes any time you’d like by downloading the podcast on your mobile device.

The Alliance is taking a Mediterranean Cruise in 2017. Connors congratulated the latest people who have already qualified for the trip in only six months of the year-long contest. He also reminded new agents that you can earn bonus points to help you win the cruise. There is also a “Level Up” bonus that Andy Albright put in place to earn even more bonus points toward the cruise. Be sure to check out the contest page on www.NAALeads.com for all the details about winning this cruise.

The best predictor of your income will be based on how much you invest in leads. If you invest $100 then you can predict writing $1,000 in premium off that investment. At the lowest contract level, you are making $550 minus the $100 for leads which nets you $450. However, if you also get referrals off those leads then you can make a lot more than that off of your $100 investment.

Imagine your earning potential if you invest $500 in leads instead of $100? It would go up in a massive way. Instead of picking up $450, you are looking at more like $2,250. The $500 investment puts more money in your pocket.

Patrick (56:00) talked about the impact the TWC show on April 20 (EP10 TWC Podcast). Take out a sheet of paper and write the year you were born on the left and then a possible death date or just a question mark on the right side of the paper. Draw a dash between the born year and your death year. What is going to happen between those dates? That’s all the time you have in your life. What happens between those two events is controlled by you. It is controlled every single day.

Are you taking advantage of the 24 hours you are granted each day? Are you focused on doing good things that help you improve and increase your potential? Are you wasting time on television shows or social media? These are choices. They happen in a second. You make a choice and it is done. All those little choices that seemingly take no time start adding up. It is voluntary affirmation of the obligatory. To put it in simpler terms it is the ACBDE method of deciding how to use your time. Intelligent people are those who are taking actions that move them in the direction of what they say they want in life. They do the tasks and activities that help them get closer to their goals and dreams. If you don’t like where you are in life then you should probably start looking at the decisions you are making, because that is exactly why you are in the position you are in. Now, if you are happy with life and you don’t ever complain then you have won. You’ve figured it out. If, however, you complain and don’t like what you do then you have to make changes. Stop complaining and start changing.

A – Something is important and you need to do it.

B – This is something you should do.

C – This is something that would be nice to do, but you don’t have to do it.

D – Delegate (Let somebody else help you do a task)

E – Eliminate (Things you can stop doing or get away from doing)

Jun 15, 2016

On this week's episode of The Wednesday Call podcast, Andy Albright explains how you can instill enthusiasm, love and commitment into any person instantly.

Grab a notepad and pen and get ready to listen and learn!

The easiest thing in the world to do is to go ahead and commit. Decide that you are going to do whatever it is you are already thinking about. You do it because it is exactly what you want other people to do too.

Enthusiastic people live from the inside out. Winners have this crazy enthusiasm about them that is contagious.

Love trumps all. Love has eyes and it can see you. It also has eyelids, and people that love have an ability to not see the bad and focus on seeing the good in people. Stop all the negative stuff. Humans have a massive capacity for love. People also have a huge need for love.

How do you help people find that in themselves? You have to look for them and help them find out that they have the ability to commit, to be enthusiastic and to love inside of them. We just have to help them bring it out and share it with the world.

The first step is for you to be that way yourself. You will attract what you are. People will see your actions and decide if they are pulled toward you or they run from you.

You can start working on this by adjusting your words. Andy calls this the “True … but” method. People that say things like: The goal is too far away, It seems really impossible for me, I’m too messed up to fix, etc.

Avoid this by doing one small thing you weren’t doing before. It can be as simple as writing down your schedule, making a phone call to a person you need to talk to or knocking out a chore that needs to be done.

Keep doing one thing at a time. Start adding more things. Do this consistently. Before you realize it, you are getting a lot done. It all adds up. Remember this: one is always greater than zero. Don’t think about a million things when you aren’t doing one thing first! Success is built one “boring” brick by brick at a time. You don’t build a wall in one quick step.

Andy shared a story of two businessmen meeting in hopes of working out a deal. One man tells the other he is excited and glad that things are falling into place. He says I’m looking forward to working with you and I need you to hold up your end of the bargain because I’m going to do so.

If you don’t hold up your end of the deal, then I’m going to come down hard on you and mirror your behavior or even worse. We will operate by the Golden Rule, does that work for you?

The other man quickly responded, “I’m out! I can’t do this. I’m done.”

Now, this was a fair deal. But, the one man couldn’t handle it. Now, the whole relationship is messed up.

What if the one man said, “How about we do more than fair? What if I’m off my game, then you pick up the slack and help us get through it? Let’s do that for each other, OK?”

What if both men agreed to that and overlooked minor setbacks so the relationship is still good. What if they both just said we will go above and beyond for each other when it is needed.

There is fault in fairness. If one person messes up, then both people are messed up because of the agreement. The relationship falls apart.

The second deal where you pick up each other’s slack is a better deal. Nobody is perfect, so the fair deal will lead to deterioration of the relationship. You’ve got to cut out the sarcasm because it will to bad things.

If you aren’t willing to overlook imperfections, it is going to be very hard to win. Two slackers can’t win together. Sarcasm leads to more sarcasm. Meanness leads to more meanness. It becomes a disaster. When people aren’t willing to rise above mistakes and junk it is not good. Revenge, wrath and anger are not good when people get together. It destroys business and relationships every single day.

Don’t treat evil with evil, rather overcome evil with good. Stop trying to keep score when it comes to your relationships with people. Even if you are ahead on the scoreboard, you will find that you have still lost. You can run up the score, but don’t point out the score to your opponents.

Follow the Law of Love. If you are not given to, give to others. If you are not loved, love on somebody. If nobody is helping a person, you help them. Be a change agent for the good. That is how you win big. You cannot lose doing that. Be willing to give like crazy even if you aren’t sure it will be reciprocated.

How do we do this?

Get rid of your anger. Don’t confuse emotion and passion with anger and disgust. Don’t get mad at people. You can’t ignore it all together and you don’t need to try to engage in revenge either. The right way to handle the situation is by telling them that you love them and you want to help them fix a problem. If they don’t make an adjustment, you don’t give up on them. Ask them how you can help correct the problem. Do your best to address it and help them get through the problem.

Get over your own needs. Operate from a servant’s standpoint and not from a selfish state. Be a giver, not a getter. Stop trying to play the fair game with people. The greatest gift you were given was being born. Now that you got that gift, it is time for you to give to others. Help other people succeed at what they care about.

Ask how you contributed to the problem. Show that you care. Ask the person where you messed up. Don’t assign the blame to others without shouldering your share of the blame. Life is a “give game.” The most successful people in the world will tell you that and it is the truth.

Give the opposite of what the other person is trying to do to you. If they are critical, you be encouraging. If they are mad, you be happy.

Let’s not play fair. Let’s just play right. Let’s run up the score. Give more in everything we do. It will mess people up in a powerful way. They want know how to react. You plant the seeds of good even if others are planting junk you don’t want!

Start with one thing and keep moving. That’s how you create momentum. Start with one tasks and keep building on that momentum.

Start working ways that you can reach a new emotional level in everything you do so that you are a giver to other people.

Andy Albright was in the middle of a four-day run to the West Coast this week, but made sure he had time to host The Wednesday Call podcast from Denver, Colorado.

Settle in and get ready as Andy explains how you can do this thing … big!

If you want to win, then you have to make your mind up and decide now. Winning is about focus!

You have to get focused. The ability to focus on the right stuff is the key to winning big. You have to be smart enough to know that you need to try in order to get things accomplished. Success is not an accident.

Stay focused. Work hard. Don’t quit.

Losers say circumstances, situations and luck that get you where you are. Winners say it is cause and effect. What you do equates to what you get. When you help people grow, you will be rewarded for it. Some people don’t attempt to do something because they are mad at something that happened to them previously. Do not make that mistake.

Winners know it is work, effort and focus that determine where you are in life. You have to have faith and you have to do it.

People are your biggest asset. It is great to have a nice car, a great office and all the bells and whistles, but people are what help you grow the most. If you try to do something you are more likely to accomplish it.

What do people get mad about? They get mad when they don’t get what they want. Don’t get mad. Stop being angry at people. Remember that you don’t know what they are going through in their life. They probably aren’t trying to make you mad.

When people get mad, what do you do about it? Don’t let somebody else’s actions dictate your reaction. Don’t engage. Don’t blow up. Stay focused on you. Think about something else.

Do you have contempt for others? How about yourself? Get your stuff in order before you start focusing on what other people are doing. You don’t have to show contempt to prove that you are an honest person.

Don’t be arrogant. Don’t be mean. Be content. Be nice. Be inviting. Stop being angry and cynical; get to work. You don’t need to be judge and jury of other people. Don’t be smug to people. Smile. Don’t put your nose in the air and don’t look down on people. Don’t be a smug person with a critical heart. Don’t evaluate what others are doing when they haven’t even asked you. Find out what they are doing right and let them know they are good at that.

Look for the good things in people and focus on that. Be a “good” finder in people. See people as valuable.

Pride and loss of gratitude makes people have a sense of entitlement. They think they are smarter than everybody else and they stop giving. They stop serving people. They stop making a difference.

People follow courage, and courage is inconvenient. Lead with a tender heart. Serve people in a way that will allow you to enjoy a happy life. Don’t be so sure about what you know that you stop learning things. You could be wrong and not be open to realizing it until you are too late.

Don’t think that things are going to get easier. Do know that things will get better. There will be conflict. You can work through it and you need to decide that you are going to get over it now.

Don’t stop yourself with anger, contempt and bad thoughts in your mind and heart. See the good and remain focused on that and keep doing what you know you should be doing. Be willing to give up the good because you know you can get great if you keep pushing. Dream bigger than you ever have before.

On this week’s The Wednesday Call podcast live with Andy Albright you will find out about two-faced people … how to be one not two!

Grab a pen and a notebook, open your ears and your mind and get ready for the show!

We all have to make decisions each day. Do we make the right choices? Do we move in the right direction? If we are faced with an obstacle, do we quit or overcome?

We all decide to be negative or not when we are asked questions or we see something we don’t like. How we react and how we think can make all the difference in the world. Are you able to rise above situations? Can you keep from letting people and situations make you cynical?

You are never going to be able to please 100 percent of the people in this world. Don’t even try it. Do what you have to do. Don’t worry about what other people think. YOU know what you have to do, so don’t let others influence you in a negative way.

When you are edifying other people, be very aware of the words you are using to describe people. If you are saying how awesome they are and it isn’t factual then you are going to look as bad as the person you are trying to build up. It’s OK to edify a person, but make sure you are doing it correctly.

Are you trying to change everything a little bit for the better? The biggest thing to help yourself is to be committed to changing a little bit in a lot of areas. Keep working at it and see if you don’t see improvements. Even if you are getting the best results, the fact that you are trying speaks volumes about the kind of person you want to be. Successful people are not afraid to change … even if it is just a little bit. Change can happen right now or it can take years. As long as they keep trying to get better don’t beat them up about it.

Are you working hard to not be selfish? Do people trust you? Your words and actions must line up. Do you really want what you are saying you want? Are you willing to do it? Everybody lives, but a lot of people don’t take action and when they get old they regret not going for something they wanted. Life is about experiences. Are you going to go for it and live with no regrets? Get after it. Make things happen. Are you going for it even though you know it won’t be easy? Don’t sit back because you think of all the things that might go wrong. You have to go for it 100 percent.

You can’t be shy and get everything you want. Struggle and criticism are prerequisites for greatness. Don’t live life like you never existed. Don’t be afraid to fail. If you do life correctly there will be painful times. You can’t start over. You can’t the beginning. However, you can change what happens from here on out.

Put an end to mediocrity. Stop trying to change people that don’t want to change. Focus your efforts on the people like us.

People who give an honest effort and continue trying to do good things will be rewarded for their efforts.

If you keep trying and don’t quit, then you will reach your goals.

Tune in as Andy Albright explains why you have to clear your head and fill your calendar to be successful.

Are you planning for success or are you planning for failure? What does your schedule look like? How does your calendar look? If you are actively thinking and planning then your bank account will reflect it accordingly. If you work your plan, what are the expected results? There is a strategy that works every time!

You have to be willing to fail in order to be successful. The more you do, the more you are going to mess up. The key is to keep doing things. You will get more done doing that, and you will learn from messing up over time.

You get paid for what you do so you have to be very intentional about how you spend your time. Your focus and schedule should be centered around doing tasks that help you be successful. Don’t waste time in areas that don’t matter.

People are worried about too many things. The word worry comes from anglo-saxan word that essentially means to choke. Anxiety pent up in you is not good. Too many people worry about things that they cannot control. Maybe it rains outside and you had planned to play golf. Guess what? You can’t do anything about it. You can’t change the weather and you can’t change people. Stop worrying about it.

Here are four simple ways to stop worrying.

Keep busy. Schedule things that keep you constructive.

Do things in moderation. Always!

Have fun. Laugh. Relax. If you can’t laugh at yourself everybody else will. That helps stop worry.

Life is short and you are going to die. Stop worrying about it. Accept it. You will worry less when you do.

Help people as often as you can. You can do this with words, actions, behaviors, etc. Help people change their thoughts and get their mind off of what is bothering them. Help them get clarity.

Welcome to The Wednesday Call live with Andy Albright. Fresh off a two-week trip to Europe, Andy has been chomping at the bit to return to the good old United States to share a new message with YOU!

Grab a pen and pad and settle in to take notes during the latest TWC podcast featuring Andy Albright. NOTE: If YOU are driving ... don't do that! Just open your ears and your mind and take it all in. Are you ready? Are you sure?

HERE WE GO!!!

We hope you enjoy this edition of The Wednesday Call podcast with Andy!

Earlier this week, Andy experienced a life-long dream by traveling in Alliance Air with N.C. State men’s basketball coach Mark Gottfried, football coach Dave Doeren and women’s basketball coach Wes Moore on Monday and Tuesday. The two-day trip ended at The Alliance’s headquarters in Burlington, N.C. where the Wolfpack Club held one of its 10 Coaches Caravans.

Next week, Andy will be hosting a series of boot camps in Washington, D.C.; Detroit, Mich.; Chicago, Ill. and Cincinnati, Ohio. To get more details, visit www.NAAHotSpots.com to find out how you can attend one of these events.

Andy wanted to share two main points during this TWC.

The first item was helping people maximize their efforts and not minimalize their potential. Too many people are focused on hitting the minimum. The problem with this effort is that obstacles and hurdles will unexpectedly pop up that then limit you from even reaching those minimum results. Are you asking yourself, “What is the least amount of work I have to do to get something?” If you are doing this, please stop now. If you continue shooting for the minimal amount, you will never realize how great you can be in life. Championships and victories are not won by putting forth the least amount it takes to win.

People that don’t reach their goals are likely guilty of not maximizing and performing beyond the minimum requirements. You have to push yourself to new heights all the time. When you are putting forth the maximum effort in everything you do, that is when you start to separate yourself from the average and move toward greatness. It is not easy. It does take discipline and effort. It takes work. It takes finding ways to make yourself push on even when you are tired, bored or at your breaking point.

Minimizing breeds mediocrity. It destroys passion. It sets your potential too low. It limits your dream. It limits what you can do. You cannot achieve excellence doing the minimum. Great leaders and visionaries never wanted to shoot for minimums. That would never work. The most effective people in the world complete tasks and they start looking for the next thing that needs to be done. Once they figure that out, then they start working on completing that task.

Your accomplishments are a direct result of the effort and work you put in on a daily basis. Success cannot be purchased, but it can be rented. The problem for most people is figuring out and realizing that the rent is due daily. It can only be paid in sweat equity and effort.

Start thinking about how much you can do or the most you can do. Stop striving for the minimum. Blow past those little minimums and get so enthusiastic that you catch fire and explode to a point where you are doing things you never thought possible.

Remember that people who do what others are not willing to do are the most successful people in the world. They master the art of doing things to be successful on a consistent basis. They get the maximum out of their talents and work hard.

Self-minimalizing stifles human creativity. People who want to do more, give more and achieve more are the people you want to associate and spend time around. They are the people who win at life. Find a person who is doing and living the way you want to and follow them. Find ways to get around them and ask them questions. Chase them until you are at your full potential.

The people who don’t listen to the status quo get rewarded. They get rewarded in a big way. When you think that way you are more excited about your potential. You were created for success and it is time for you to start thinking and acting that way. Start today!

How can you get to EVP faster than you think? And, how can you do that in the most profitable way possible? The key to that is building depth and going as deep as possible. Andy believes that YOU can build your business as big as his in the next three years. When you have depth in your business, you have volume and you have a fire burning down deep. When you are selling, recruiting and building, then it is contagious. Building is a result of getting depth.

The key to building is focus. You have to focus on selling, recruiting and building. That has to be what you are thinking about and what you are focused on. This means you aren’t watching what other people are doing, you can’t watch television all day and you can’t be standing around doing nothing. Your mind has to be focused on the work and tasks you should be committed to doing.

There are three things YOU need to do when you are building depth. The first step is to get people to listen, watch and attend every event and call we provide to help them improve. Second, find people that you believe are trying to do the most they can do every single day. These are people you trust, people that you can build a relationship with and that you enjoy working with. The third thing is identifying people that want to do it all. They are dialing every single day, and are making sure other people are doing the same thing, they are trying to win trips, etc. They are going all out and not just doing the minimum. Andy calls this Find, Friend and Develop. That’s the three-step simple way to grow your business to heights you’ve never even thought you could reach with The Alliance.

Being a leader means that you go first, then you help others do it too. When you do that, you will start to see your true potential and you realize that is what determines your value.

Stephen Davies served as guest host for this week’s The Wednesday Call live from National Agents Alliance headquarters in Burlington, N.C. while Andy Albright was out of the country on business.

Davies, who lives in Asheville, N.C. with his wife, Hollie, was hand-picked by Albright to help make sure this episode was “must see” TV.

Davies’ main topic talked about how to build momentum and get it started now.

What can momentum do for you? It is hard to get it going, but once it starts it is crazy how fast it goes and how fast it accelerates. Momentum is an amplifier. It is powerful. It buys you time and people will listen to you more when you have it on your side. Momentum is also an eraser. When you have momentum, you are more likely to forget about “messes” in your past. Momentum can cover up big mistakes in your past. It can mitigate problems and help you keep moving forward.

There are five things to remember when you are looking to create momentum.

Momentum is the accelerator and the amplifier to success. When you get momentum and pour it on top of the system The Alliance has in place, the results will be incredible. Keep your focus on your why and use momentum to help you reach the next level.

Welcome to The Wednesday Call where Andy Albright delivers leadership and coaching in a high-energy, fun environment that helps you learn how to be better at life and business. This weekly show is full of guiding principles that can be applied as fast you are willing to change what you are doing now that isn’t working. How cool is that? Sit back and turn the sound up as Andy brings you valuable content and information for you to grow. Enjoy the show!

Paul Roberts served as special guest host for this week’s The Wednesday Call live from AMP Studios in Burlington, N.C. while Andy Albright was on business outside of the United States.

Roberts, who lives outside Dallas, Texas, was hand-picked by Albright to help deliver this week’s message to members of The Alliance.

Roberts’ main topic for TWC was focusing on the three things that will help your business create massive momentum.

Roberts started with The Alliance 11 years ago and his life was in a mess. He was losing cars, losing homes and trying to find a way to solve his problems. Bills were piling up and he was looking for a way to climb out of the hole he was stuck in. Roberts went to a meeting where he met Alex Fitzgerald and discovered The Alliance. Now, Roberts knows that The Alliance’s HotSpots meetings are the most important resource we have. It’s there every week in more than 60 cities for people to take advantage of and to learn from others at the meetings every single week. The Alliance and the HotSpots meetings are part of the reason Paul was able to get sober four years ago with help from his family at The Alliance.

Each person attending our meetings is why the meetings work. You being there matters, whether you are hosting the meeting or just showing up consistently.

There are so many things in the world that we cannot control, but people find ways to focus on those things instead of the simple and easy tasks that we can control. We can control what we do daily. We can’t control the weather. Why would we focus on the weather when we have no impact on it? If we focused on ourselves on not on people, situations and circumstances beyond our control, then we will be more successful and we will be more likely to be in a position to help others too. Make it your mission to focus on what you can control.

Apr 27, 2016

Everything in life is a choice. Regardless of what happens in life, we still have to stay focused on what needs to get done. That’s what successful people do. We each have the power to choose. Where you are at in life right now is based on the choices you make daily. What will you choose now that will change and impact your life in five years? Will you do something important now or wait until later? The sooner gets you what you want faster.

If you do things sooner, you get what you want faster. Stop waiting. Stop hesitating. Stop putting things off. Start moving. Start doing. Start succeeding.

You get to pick your thoughts and what you believe. As a man thinketh so is he. Nothing could be more true. Emotions are a choice. We all make decisions. What you pick and what you do impacts the world. Don’t fall victim to the “blame game” that so many people subscribe to and miss a great life.

People tend to get mad when they don’t get what they want. Here’s the problem: that is a choice. When you don’t get your way and you avoid getting mad, it messes other people up.

How do you feel about your schedule and what you planned? What difference would it make if you planned more important tasks and not so many less important things? Do you see the logic in putting the “big rocks” first because they are most important?

Those are three questions that you need to consider when you think about where you are in life and where you want to go in the lifetime you are blessed with. What do you want to be and what do you want to do in life?

Apr 20, 2016

Today’s main topic was about the ABCDE’s of control in your life and how you can affect the outcome of what happens in your lifetime. We all have to make choices every single day. We have to live with those choices whether they are good or bad decisions.

We all make ABCDE choices even if we don’t realize it. What we should do it make a choice and then rank it with one of those letters. “A” means something is important. “B” means you should do it. “C” means it would be nice to do it. “D” means it can be delegated to somebody else. “E” means it can be eliminated.

Intelligence means a person does the actions needed to help move them toward their goals and dreams. If you watch what a person says and what they do, you can figure out pretty quickly if a person is serious about what they want out of life. Andy talks about people needing to be a fruit inspector. Don’t assume that a fruit tree is a fruit tree before you see fruit growing on it.

People need to realize that they control where they go in life based on their actions and how often they do the right things. You can have the most talent and intelligence in the world, but it doesn’t matter if you don’t put it to use. People move toward or away from their goals. That is the best way to measure if they are smart or not.

Once you get your goals figured out then you can start planning out your days and your time in an effort to make those things happen.

Apr 13, 2016

Andy Albright hosted this week’s The Wednesday Call live from Dallas, Texas during a series of Boot Camps he hosted this week in Atlanta, Ga., Nashville, Tenn. and Dallas.

Andy discussed the two things that drive people and they are aggression and connection. People appear to be motivated by love and money. You don’t always get what you want when you want it.

What drives Andy nuts is when people don’t realize their full potential. When you form relationships that are goal driven, more gets accomplished. The Alliance wants to help teach people what they can do to get more accomplished. If you don’t trust the person you are in a relationship with then it doesn’t matter what you do.

Relationships are huge and we love people no matter what, but we do have expectations. One of the ways you can build relationships is by attending meetings and listening to audios like The Wednesday Call and the NAActivity Call each week. People want to be seen and heard. They will tell you with their actions.

You want to find people that you can connect with in this business. Find people that care as much as you do. Build the relationships that will help take you to the next level.

When people start winning together then it becomes contagious. People want it even more when it starts happening. Winners find other winners and the team gets bigger.

You have got to decide what you need to do right now, today and in this moment. Figure it out and put things in motion.

The Wednesday Call with Andy Albright is a weekly program that is designed to help you grow and improve in business and life. Through simple yet effective teaching principles, Andy Albright helps people move from where they are to where they want to be in as little time as possible. If you are looking for an opportunity to change your life for the better, The Wednesday Call should be part of your weekly schedule.

Through this show, Andy reveals all of his business and live strategies to help people see how they find a new career through National Agents Alliance and help people all across the United States at the same time. The Wednesday Call helps people learn how to make a living working as little or as much as they choose to each week.

This program originates from NAA headquarters in Burlington, N.C. where Andy Albright, who co-founded NAA in 2002, was born and raised. Special guests appear on the show regularly and include successful business minds, athletes, entrepreneurs and people making an impact in a number of different areas in the world.

You’ll enjoy the podcast if you are an entrepreneur that is ready to explode in your professional career, enjoy hearing inspirational stories and messages from everyday people just like you, or maybe you are a lifelong learner who continually seeks growth and improvement in your life.

Regardless of where you are, The Wednesday Call offers educational nuggets for new listeners and old. We hope you enjoy listening and keep coming back for more!

Apr 6, 2016

In the latest episode of The Wednesday Call live with Andy Albright you will find out how keeping the right pressure on the right kind of people can help blow up your business like Mt. Fuji. As an added bonus, Andy will explain how you can get your people to commit to the simple and easy things.

People use the words love and hate when they are describing something. What do people love? What do people hate?

We all have to define those things because they are part of our integrity and our values system. Do your words create chaos, confusion and dissension? Andy hates when people focus on something negative instead of the 10 things that are going well. Yes, we can all improve, but don't have to focus on the negative.

We are looking for people we can trust and build a great life with. That means we don't lie and create problems all the time. The Alliance is not about doing those things.

If you can figure out what a person loves then you can find out the kind of person you are dealing with. Finding out what people hate can also tell us a lot about a person. If you can figure out both those things then you know what kind of person you are dealing with. Expect what you inspect. When you make a connection with people and keep things simple, you will learn more than you expect.

Mar 31, 2016

On this week’s episode of The Wednesday Call with Andy Albright talked about working hard to “doubt and do” instead of exercising in “doubt and fears.”

When you make a bad decision do you let it wreck your day? Instead, try to move forward after you have made a bad decision. Move forward. Keep a positive attitude and use that attitude to make good decisions. If you call a person and it doesn’t well, don’t let that carry over to the next person you call. Tell yourself the next call will be awesome and the person who answers will be a great person.

What keeps you from making phone calls? It is a lot like exercise. You don’t always want to do it, but you know it is in your best interest to do it. Just do it. Successful people don’t like working out, but they know it is necessary to live the life they want to live. Put it on your calendar and then do it. We all have choices and decisions to make. Most people struggle with it on a daily basis.

If you can find a passionate person then I will bet you your chance of success with them is much higher than if you work with a person on the fence. You have to focus on the positive and avoid the negative. People are smarter than you think. People live up or down based on the expectations that you set for them. If a person hasn’t heard “something” before then it is hard for them to “get it” until you explain it.

People will fight, flight or freeze. What will you do? Work hard to keep negative words from coming out of your mouth. Stay positive. Do most important things then get to the other stuff.

People perform better when they are happy and excited. Give them a reason to be that way by encouraging them with your words, thoughts and actions.

Learn about 5 ways you can create power when you speak on the March 23, 2016 episode of The Wednesday Call with Andy Albright.

Albright hosted The Wednesday Call live from AMP Studios at National Agents Alliance headquarters with this question in mind: Do you truly THINK before speaking or asking questions when you deal with people on daily basis?

You might not realize it, but you carry great power when you speak to others. Andy wants to share five ways to create power when you speak to people. The Alliance knows it to be true.

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Sticks and stones will break my bones, but words will never harm me.”

The truth is that words do hurt people. They hurt people a lot. You can choose to use your words in a good way and it will change lives.

Trust and Truth: When people believe and trust, they will take action faster. People give mental and verbal assessment to what they are told. They are trying to figure things out in their head. When people come and discover it for themselves, they hold it with conviction.

Heart: Is what you are saying to a person positive? Will your words make things better or worse? Be helpful when you talk to people. It will help make things better. You can help correct a person, but you can do it in a positive way. Are you motivating people to do better? Encouragement is exactly what people want to hear.

Inspirational: Are you inspiring people to perform at a higher level? Are you promoting things in the right way? Encourage people to be part of the team with you.

Needed: Is the conversation needed? Are you speaking intentionally? Too often people spend their words talking about topics that do not matter. Make sure you are speaking and listening in an effort to learn more about the person and how you can be of value to them.

Kindness: Are you acting out of love? Are you compassionate? Are you treating people the way you want to be treated? Word hard to control your tongue and use your words in a good manner.

Please remember to THINK before you speak. When you talk you can be a powerful force if you are deliberate about what you say to people. What you say can be exactly what a person needs to hear to change their lives for the better.

Mar 18, 2016

Andy spent a large portion of the show interviewing people in attendance who are "doing the do" with The Alliance. Listen closely to the questions he is asking people and how he asks them. This is a great way to learn what types of people you are looking for and what type of people are finding success with The Alliance.

One key piece of the discussion was the importance of reading more and spending time around the right people who are where you want to be.

Andy held a series of GS3 interviews with people in the audience. To learn more about GS3, please visit http://bit.ly/1R3tAwH.

Mar 18, 2016

Do you feel properly equipped? Do you feel inspired? What is your mindset? There will always be problems in life. Will you be prepared to deal with them and get through them?

As we head well into 2016, The Alliance wants you to remember seven things to keep our mindset right.

  1. Have Gratitude

How to get rid of the negatives in your life? Make appointments for positivity. Get on the phone and make sales appointments. Help new people get started.

Decide that positivity is a positive thing. People need your approval and by you staying positive, you will help negative people work on being more positive about things in life. You can throw dirt or take ground. People struggle with this every day. People are trained to respond in kind to whatever they hear, but you have to decide that you are going to be positive even when people are being negative.

Can you let "it" go? People have a hard time letting things go. We all know people that can't let things go and they compound their struggles because of that fact. It makes things worse when you can't move on. Focus on moving on. If you show love and keep giving to others, it will turn into the real deal. We are not happy because we sing, we sing because we are happy. Make a decision to be happy and smile.
