Here's three things you need to remember when dealing with people. This comes from Brian Tracy's book "Goals!"
The foundation of a quality relationship is the unconditional positive acceptance of and regard for the other person. This means that you accept the other person exactly the way he or she is, with no attempt or desire to change the person’s basic character or personality. Unconditional acceptance is the greatest gift that one person can give to another.
Caring is not natural, but it is important. Caring is necessary because people don't feel validated without it. People need to hear that you want to hear their story.
In a loving relationship, you care more for the happiness and well-being of the other person than you do for your own. Spouses who love each other and who love their children are willing to make any sacrifice to preserve and protect the others’ health and well-being.
Sacrifice is not natural. Sacrifice is necessary because people don't always think they have value.
The true measure of the health of a relationship is how much and how often the people involved laugh together and how often. Since laughter is the outer expression of an inner feeling of true happiness, it is the one measure that cannot be faked.

Before you start asking for help, you should be able to answer four basic, simple questions.
4 Rules for Problems
What is the problem?
What is the CAUSE of the problem?
What are the possible solutions of the problem?
What SOLUTION do you suggest?
When you know the answers to these questions, you can probably solve the issue yourself. At least if you still need help, you can share the information with the person you are seeking help from. If you can use these simple questions, it will change your life and help you solve problems much faster.
Answering these questions, you will get to the root of the problem quicker. If the problem started 10 years ago, it will take longer to fix.
When you write down problems and solutions, you can move faster to fix issues.
Andy likes to read “First Things First” and “How To Stop Worrying and Start Living” to help him find solutions faster. He loves Covey’s “four quadrants” to help decide how he spends his time. You have to stay focused on the things that matter and delay or put off the unimportant tasks. Reading those two books will help reinforce your behaviors or explain what you are doing incorrectly.

Ben Franklin was very good at this. He hated wasted time, stewing over stuff that didn’t matter and arguing and contradicting people. He fought those things his entire life.
Be open to criticism and be willing to criticize yourself. We are all wrong for at least five minutes a day; the key is to try to keep it to five or less.
Most of what we worry about is not even in our control. Have faith that it will be OK, especially if you don’t make it worse. Don’t be afraid to pray about it. Many people find the confidence of action through the power of prayer. Prayer is an active force to create motion. It is the first force of action.
Prayer, action, doing and friends are the ingredients you need to get through the storms of life.

On this episode of The Wednesday Call, your host Andy Albright wanted to talk about why some people make it and others don’t.
Growing up, Andy Albright wanted to find a way to be free to do what he wanted to do, when he wanted to do it. He was willing to do whatever it took to find that kind of freedom. When people ask him now if it was worth the hard work it took, he explains that it was worth it.
We all have friendships with people and we seem to be more connected to those people than just our acquaintances. Friends, relationships and trust are critical to success.
We all make mistakes, but we all make different mistakes. We all view other people’s mistakes differently than our own. Perspective is so important. Judging people is very dangerous. We all do it from time to time, but we have to be very careful when we do this. The goal is to get better at relationships and to form more friendships. The more friends you have, the more selective you can be about who you spend your time with.
A lot of people get a feeling and then they take action. That leads to being more confident and then they keep doing more. Too many people are waiting on a feeling to take action. They want to have belief or trust before they move. This takes too long. More people need to act their way into a feeling rather than waiting for a feeling to move. People that do are more likely to succeed.
Forget the excuses and focus on the part where you do stuff. If you can accept a person early then they are more likely to do something sooner. Some people are “dumb enough” to do something without needing evidence like “smart people” expect before they act. Waiting creates weight that prevents progress. The Alliance needs people to fail faster and then keep going. Eventually, with adjustments, success will come. The best time to start something is now.
People who blame anything besides themselves are less likely to get better than people who accept blame for their shortcomings. Blamers tend to get bitter. People that accept blame tend to get better.
Do you care about anybody outside of yourself? Do you care enough to reach out to people to try to help them? This takes work, and it takes practice to get really good at it. You have to get better at figuring things out and stop being bitter about it.
The most successful people are those who don’t get too high and don’t get too low. They don’t believe their press clippings or personal headlines. You want to stay in the middle and not go off the rails. One component of that is your coping skills and how you handle adversity. How do you respond under pressure? How a person behaves in that moment is normally a good indicator of the kind of person you are dealing with.
More people need to believe without proof. The more you can do this, the more successful you can be. It takes practice to become really good at this. If you can master coping with stressful situations, you will be built for success. The ability to pivot can make all the difference in being a success versus being a failure. It’s OK to fail, but it’s not OK to repeat it or not learn from the setback. If you can roll with the punches it will annoy people to no end. However, you will be better off, and you will set the example of how to cope with drama moving forward.
The ability to take a bad situation and make the best of it is a skill that few can master. If you can do this, you will win more than you ever thought possible. Don’t get paralyzed in the moment and suffer because of it. Accept the situation and figure out what to do next. Having the right mindset will determine where you go when you face a struggle or difficulty. Don’t sweat it and don’t stir it too soon. Let it sit for a little bit and then clean up the mess. Operate with an adult mindset instead of using a toddler mindset.
Shape your mind and thinking around the thinking that gets you on the good side of life. Having the right balance will help swim or sink. It is a choice. It can be learned. It is about establishing patterns in all that you do. If you keep practicing, you will find the way to win.
People that “do the do” get to enjoy the stuff. Now, that doesn’t mean life is all about possessions, but it does allow you more choices than most people get to enjoy. If you sit idle, then you will be limited in about everything you can think of. When you get stuff done, you get to make more choices and you have more options.
The prize is typically reserved for those that take action quickly. The faster you move, the more you can accomplish. When you keep going and doing, things happen more for you than others who choose to sit and stew. Things will not change until things change. We all have to make a decision to make changes if we want to get different results.
Who you hang around will determine who your friends are. What you do determines where you go. What you do helps others decide if they want to spend time around you too. What you read, watch and listen to is the fuel you allow in your head. It will impact your behaviors and actions. Work to get around the right information so you can grow. If you work hard, focus on the basics and don’t quit, you will win. The key is to be fanatical about doing the basics it takes to win. It’s the best way to set yourself up for success and winning.

On this episode of The Wednesday Call podcast, Andy Albright was back live for the first time in three weeks, after taking a trip to Africa with his son, Spencer.
Andy gets asked one question over and over again. People ask, “Is it worth it?”
The more successful you get, the more problems you have. You also get to do cool things that others don’t. It’s good and bad … and the scope of both gets bigger the more you move up in this world. Andy says it is worth it to him. To be able to spend time with family in crazy places like Africa is what he loves doing so he works hard so he continues to get to do those things.
We all have “stuff” no matter what level we are at, but there are just varying degrees of the good and bad. It is key to exercise gratitude no matter where you are at right now. As you get more successful it is important to keep the proper perspective. To move up, you are going to have to deal with things, problems, obstacles, issues, etc. How you navigate those waters and react to situations will determine how far and how high you can go in life.
You have to be able to deal with problems if you want to keep expanding your horizons. Here’s the other trick about being successful: you have to keep doing it. When you figure out what works, you have to remember what you did to be successful.
The Alliance is running a contest with Foresters for top rookies and veterans based on production with Foresters, with the winners traveling to Toronto on Dec. 4-6. Winners will travel with Albright and a team from The Alliance to spend time together in Toronto.
There is also a Rolex Rollout contest going on from July 22 until Dec. 31. A total of five 2002 Rolex watches will be awarded in honor of The Alliance opening for business in 2002.

How do you connect with people? How do you meet people?
Are you thinking about making a connection when you first meet a person, or are you just going through the motions? When you meet a person at a gas station or grocery store, you want to find out how you know each, if you do, before you start asking them about what we do. Ask questions that tell you what they do now and what they would like to do. Find out where they live, where they spend time, etc. When you find out that they want to know what you do, then you can talk about what we do and find out if they are interested. The biggest step is to talk to people. Don’t just walk past people when you have the chance to talk to them. Here’s another tip: get their phone number before the conversation ends. When you do that you can follow up quickly.
How do you get people moving?
You have to make it small and simple or it probably won’t happen. Start small when you ask a person to do something, but give them things fast. If they do what you ask, then give them some more items to work on.
Be patient if nothing happens, but keep looking for people that respond when asked. All you can do is give a person the opportunity to do something.
On page 90 of “Inside The Circle,” Andy writes about getting people to move. It’s not about being perfect, but rather about working with imperfect people, which is everybody! Work with people who are willing to work hard and are coachable. Too many people let the noise in their own head get in the way of them being successful. When you stop listening to yourself and start talking to yourself, you are probably going to be more successful.
Considerations, fears and roadblocks will come in life. Considerations are worrying about what other people think. Fears are you worrying if you can do it. Roadblocks are just challenges you will have to face to be successful. That’s really the only three things you have to deal with in life. If you can figure those things out, you are going to win in business and life. If you always believe things will get better, then you are on the right track.
You have to be aware of considerations, fears and roadblocks. You have to be willing to face them. You have to be willing to embrace the process and deal with the outcomes too.
If you can deal with those things, and help people along the way then you are going to enjoy a great life.

4. Think about getting one more. The connection is what works ... seek massive connections
Humility-It takes humility to let you know you need others.Imperfections connect us. Let go of needing to be better.Be better than you were yesterday.
Effort- connection takes effort. Value people daily. It’s a decision not a circumstance.Cant have a connection with transactional love.Loving is being Lovable. Leave people better than you found them.
3.Self Aware- Don’t lose self-awareness or you will lose people. Hold it up and keep it, or you will lose the flow.
Excuses - manifest the lack of awareness.The penalty gets bigger and bigger if you don’t handle the problem.
It’s work talking without listening is not coachable.
4. Trustworthy - Can’t stay connected to a person if you are untrustworthy. Strength of character: no longer connected to others.Can't focus on what we see and not what we be. Ability to earn: Deliver on promises. Keep respect. Leaders can’t be passive aggressive.
5.Generosity - We connect with generous people when we have their best interest at heart. Be generous and be willing to give others a chance.
6.Curious - Stay curious to stay connected. Curious people have a broad prospective. Don’t express love to receive love you don’t need it back.
7.Listening - You won’t listen unless your curios. Let people feel heard. Correction doesn’t beat connection.
8.Encouragement - People need it. People are afraid of insecurities: shame, less than, they have doubts etc. Tell them they can do it!!!
